Risk factors

Investors should remember that investment involves risk, including but not limited to the following:

  • Past performance is not a guide to or guarantee of future returns. Please note that the value of investment and the income from them can fall as well as rise and you may not get back the amount originally invested. Income receivable may vary from the amount of income projected at the time of making the investment.
  • Exchange rate fluctuations may affect the value of an investment and any income derived from it.
  • If you exercise any right to redeem, or cancel or terminate your investment, you may not get back the amount initially invested if the share price or value of investments has fallen since you invested.
  • There can be no guarantee that the tax position or proposed tax position prevailing at the time of an investment will not change.
  • Dividends and capital gains on shares issued in Federated Cash Management Funds may be subject to withholding taxes imposed by the countries in which each particular sub-fund invests.

This list of risk factors is not exhaustive. You should refer to the appropriate prospectus and/or other disclosure documents for information on risk factors relevant to our products and services.

U.S. Persons

Federated Cash Management Funds is not registered as an investment company in the United States under the U.S. Investment Company Act of 1940, as amended, and shares in its sub-funds are not registered under the U.S. Securities Act of 1933, as amended ("Securities Act"). Subject to the below, shares of Federated Cash Management Funds are not available for purchase by "U.S. Persons" as that term is defined under Regulation S of the Securities Act.

The information provided on the Site is not intended for distribution to, or use by, any person or entity in the United States, or in any jurisdiction or country where such distribution or use would be contrary to law or regulation, or which would subject Federated Cash Management Funds, Federated UK, the Federated Group or any of their products or services to any registration, licensing or other authorisation requirement within such jurisdiction or country.

However, it is contemplated that applications for shares in Federated Cash Management Funds may be accepted at our discretion from a limited number of qualified institutional buyers or accredited investors (as those terms are used in U.S. federal securities laws) in the United States, or in other jurisdictions where such sale would not violate local regulations, provided that the sale of shares to such investors is exempt from any registration requirements and that, in all events, there will be no adverse tax consequences to shareholders of Federated Cash Management Funds as a result of such sale.
